Un espace de marginalité : Por si se va la luz de Lara Moreno (2013)

Abstract : With a measured but incisive poetic style, Por si se va la luz, Lara Moreno’s first novel, provides an outlook of a form of living (or survival) in the fringe of societyby recounting the progressive adaptation of an urban couple to a tough universe in either a material, climatic or human perspective. The work, which accounts only for a few number of events, is mainly focused on the relationship between the characters and nature, between the characters themselves and between the characters and others, as well as on their behavior, their feelings and their thoughts, whose depth and complexity are emphasized through the very particular enunciative strategy of the novel. This paper mainly explores the various dimensions of living in the fringe depicted in the novel, as well as its perspective on the modern society and the forms of anxiety that are showed.
