Citation interactionnelle et citation emblématique dans les forums de discussion en ligne

Abstract : Computer-mediated conferencing is a new type of written discourse. Quotation is used under various guises and has more than one function. Quoting excerpts of one (or more) discourse participants in the message body is called interaction quotation, while quoting an external source or a motto near signature is called herald quotation. These two types are often mentioned and explained as related to messages and individual participants. Discourse patterns however can be delineated when considering quotation varieties as discourse marks at the global level. A third type of quotation is indeed found when following Jakobson’s enunciation-related categories. This is quotation of excerpts of external matter related to the discussion. It relates the utterance level, where problems are debated, to the mediation level, where participants exchange upon the problem, and with the enunciation level where participants interact.
