Résumé

Intervention in Colloque "Captain Cook after 250 Years: Re-Exploring the Voyages of James Cook", Sorbonne-Université, 7-8 Février 2020 You can see here the title of my talk. Recent Museum exhibitions and Authorized Heritage Discourses about James Cook: "Shared history" and "the performance of privilege"; Notice the conjunction "and" which allows a wide range of possible articulations. I have two British examples here:-World war one and the shot at dawn. Slide: shot at dawn
