Les productions céramiques du site de Bourges entre la fin du VIe et le début du IVe s. av. n. è. : identification des techniques de façonnage au tour lent, analyse pétrographique et interprétation des modes de production

Abstract : Pottery production at the princely residence of Bourges (dép. Cher) between the end of the 6th and the beginning of the 4th century BC. The identification of the production with the slow potter’s wheel, petrographic analysis and interpretation of production methods Analyses of the pottery from the princely residence of Bourges between the Late Hallstatt and the beginning of the La Tène period comprise typological and technical approaches, and, furthermore, the mineralogical classification of pottery wares. This study determines the proportion of local production and shows the distribution and adaption of a new technique: the production on the potter’s wheel. In addition, the petrographic analysis allows us to recognise the places of origin of the clay for some periods. The observations resulting from pottery analysis and archaeometry are put into the perspective of supra-regional research.
