Le carnet de voyage à l'école primaire : un outil de mise en œuvre de l'approche par compétences ?

Abstract : Building on the work produced by four classes in two different primary schools which took part in a trip to England at the end of the school year 2015-2016, this research is focused on the way teachers use the travel diary with their pupils and aims at analysing to which extent these pupils understand such a use and benefit from it. The question raised is whether the travel diary can develop links between different school subjects at primary school and whether it can favour a competency-based approach which would move away from that relying on curriculum subjects and which would remove artificial barriers in the education system.
