"L'universelle araigne"(Louis XI) et l’amour lors des entrées royales du règne (1461-1483)

Abstract : Under Louis XI, royal entrances underwent a seemingly paradoxical evolution, since it was under the reign of “the universal spider” that the occurrences of love developed and the “hystories” presented took a more political turn. The heart holds a major place in ceremonies that come out of necessity for both the king and the good cities of the kingdom.
