Let alone est-il un "connecteur argumentatif" ?

Abstract : Let alone is more than a mere connector in the way that it literally triggers off interrelated syntactic, semantic and pragmatic relations between two clauses. Not only does it help clarify the meaning of the first clause in the second clause, but it also enables the speaker to win the addressee over to his own opinion.
