Synthèse organique sous haute pression

Abstract : Saving energy while incorporating all the atoms of the substrates into the products are two important objectives in organic synthesis. Several activation methods are conventionally used including heating or catalysis. Another technique, high pressure organic synthesis, little used until now, offers many advantages. The basic concepts of this mode of activation and the instrumentation used are detailed in this article. The advantages and benefits of the method are also presented and illustrated by practical and recent applications.
