The reception modern history of the Amazons myth reveals its bipolarity from the point of view of gender, the male myth of women exclusion from the social and political field coexisting with a feminine myth of emancipation. Some works bring tension to the two poles of a story where the nightmare of the ones is the ideal of the others, where the emancipatory utopia devolves itself into a gynocracy opposite to individual aspirations (N.  Michel), even totalitarian (B.  Quériny). These two dystopias actualize the myth in order to describe women communities, identified, or identifiable as Amazons, through their history and their foundation narratives, their beliefs, their relationships to men and children, but also the way they live together (political and social organization, sexuality), all representations whose paper questions the axiological inscription, especially to the prism of the Amazonian value of sorority.
