The Mathematics of the NTRU Public Key Cryptosystem

Abstract : The NTRU cryptosystem is a fast public key cryptosystem presented in 1996 by Hoffstein, Pipher and Silverman. It is resistant to quantum attacks and is categorized as a post quantum cryptosystem. In this chapter, we describe the mathematics of the NTRU cryptosystem and the hard problems that make the security of NTRU strong and resistant to classical and quantum attacks.
