Nuées de sauterelles et business généreux. Les AMAP et le commerce équitable dans la société bureaucratique de consommation dirigée

Abstract : Today, a number of practices are aimed at bending or challenging traditional economic circuits. This is particularly the case for practices promoted by associations for consumer supported agriculture (AMAP in France) and fair trade organizations, among the best known and most institutionalized. If they display the ambition to consume better, with less impact on the planet, and to pay the producer more, these organizations sometimes yield to utilitarian commitments and merchandising logics. With their success, are trade strategies and quantitative efficiency supplanting the initial anti-establishment values ? In addition, alternative consumption patterns don’t take into account the new modes of administration of the global food system, namely administration by standards.
