L'exposition des enfants nouveaux-nés handicapés dans le monde grec, entre mythe et réalité

Abstract : A historiographical debate regarding the practice of new-born exposure in ancient Greece, with or without disabilities, has been held for over a century. However, it seems that now, an agreement has been reached on the reality of that practice. Among many myths that include new-born exposure, only the ones about Oedipus and Hephaestus as well as the ones that relate to twins, seem to establish a link between the exposure of one or two boys and a possible disability.
