Farfalla farfelue : à propos d'un soldat papillon d'Italo Calvino

Abstract : Lieutenant Agrippa Papillon, extravagant in his fluttering officer's outfit, is incapable, due to his bucolic idealism, to face History in the context of war and by his fault his men literally sink into Nature. In Italo Calvino's "The Baron in the Trees" he represents - in different terms compared to the archetypes Marcovaldo and Palomar, although in accordance with the same eccentric spirit - an irregularity expriming a significant eccentricity, from the point of view of the calvinian ethos.
