CHOIX RÉFÉRENTIEL ET RELATIONS DE COHÉRENCE INTRAPROPOSITIONNELLES

Abstract : Coherence relations are mainly studied at the interclausal level. The aim of this paper is to study the influence of referential choice on coherence relations established at a lower level, that is intraclausal coherence relations. We attempt to show that using a nominal phrase-with or without lexical variation-instead of a pro-nominal anaphor can express causal coherence relations (cause-consequence with lexical repetitions, cause-consequence or contrastive cause-consequence in case of lexical variation), like some nominal appositions but in a more synthetic way.
