Quand le topique éclate ou gros plan(s) sur le topique

Abstract : This paper is devoted to three kinds of descriptive sequences based on various information structures and various accomplishments of the topic (in Lambrecht's sense), descriptions involving various textual coherence relations. One of these kinds of descriptive sequences, using associative anaphora, deals with an absolute bursting of the topic. We show that this kind of description implies a coherence relation which is quite different from the coherence relation typically associated with entity descriptions (Entity Elaboration), a relation mixing description and argu-mentation, the so-called Claim-Evidence relation (Cornish)
