Elasmopus thalyae (Crustacea: Amphipoda: Maeridae) in high energetic area off the North-west Cotentin peninsula, English Channel

Abstract : Elasmopus thalyae Gouillieux & Sorbe, 2015 was first described from the Arcachon Bay, on soft and hard bottoms. An important collection of this species, 350 individuals, was sampled in a high energetic area on the north-west Cotentin peninsula (Raz Blanchard) from April 2015 to April 2016. Hard bottom substrata appeared to be a preferential habitat for this species.
