Elasmopus thalyae (Crustacea: Amphipoda: Maeridae) in high energetic area off the North-west Cotentin peninsula, English Channel

Elasmopus thalyae Gouillieux & Sorbe, 2015 was first described from the Arcachon Bay, on soft and hard bottoms. An important collection of this species, 350 individuals, was sampled in a high energetic area on the north-west Cotentin peninsula (Raz Blanchard) from April 2015 to April 2016. Hard bottom substrata appeared to be a preferential habitat for this species.
Elasmopus thalyae (Crustacea : Amphipoda : Maeridae) dans une zone à fort hydrodynamisme du nord-ouest du Cotentin, Manche. Elasmopus thalyae Gouillieux & Sorbe, 2015 a été décrite pour la première fois dans le Bassin d'Arcachon, où elle a été échantillonnée sur des substrats meubles et durs. Un échantillonnage conséquent de cette espèce, 350 individus, a été réalisé dans le Raz Blanchard, une zone à fort hydrodynamisme situé au nord-ouest du Cotentin, entre avril 2015 et avril 2016. Les substrats durs semblent être un habitat préférentiel pour cette espèce.
