Günter Grass et Toute une histoire Mise en image et écriture du tournant de 1989 en Allemagne

Abstract : Grass cannot have been aware of the storm that was about to break around him when the first pages of his new novel appeared in Der Spiegel and Marcel Reich-Ranicki broke his roman Ein weites Feld into pieces. The following article deals with Grass’ novel, perhaps a Wende-Roman, through the analysis of its style, illustrated by caricature, film and symbolic images. This technique lends more weight to the characteristics retained and may explain with this mosaic of combinations why it was so difficult for such a novel to find acceptance, please the readers and escape severe judgments.
