Highly sensitive H2O2 sensor based on porous bimetallic oxide Ce1−xTbxOy derived from homeotypic Ln-MOFs

Résumé

Development of a sensitive and reliable method towards detection of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is important for biomedical and environmental applications. The preparation of electrochemical sensors with high selectivity and sensitivity toward H2O2 using porous homeotypic bi-metallic Ce1−xTbxOy crystals is reported. The porous homeotypic bi-metallic Ce1−xTbxOy crystals are prepared by direct pyrolysis of CexTb1−x-MOFs precursors. The porous homeotypic bi-metallic Ce1−xTbxOy crystals are deposited on glassy carbon electrodes, and subsequently apply for detection of H2O2 in an alkaline media. The porous Ce1−xTbxOy layers show high stability, high sensitivity toward H2O2 (1.6831 µA·Mm−1) (12.99 µA∙mM−1∙cm−2) in a broad linear range (0.1 µm–4.2 mM) with a detection limit of 7.7 µm (S/N = 3), and fast response (less than 10 s).
