Campers archipelago: Utopia and lived adventures in Noirmoutier island
Leisure is the third economical activity around the world. Camping is the second way of living this leisure between vacation and hostel. France represents 50 % of European park organized camping, especially in front of the sea. A camping inquiry in Vendée reveals utopia in action. Older dogma and institutions are moth-eaten by leisure and beliefs in body and nature. Ordinary camping reveals little social islands where tiny adventures are living, real "islands in life" of campers. Those summer adventures are playing with contrasts life and reversal society. Living a precarious experience in community, in an horizontal space and dilated time constitute an adventure territory, real social shadow. This way of living as been a counterculture for a long time. It seems that it is today the major way of living postmodernity.
