LES SCHIZES D'UNE MÉDIATION ANTHROPOLOGIQUE ENTRE L'ÉTAT ET « LES GENS DU VOYAGE »

Abstract : After a training in anthropology devoted to France centered on « gens du voyage » (nomadic people), Gaëlla Loiseau professionalized her knowledge as a mediator for the state authorities, at first in an non profit organization and then as freelancer. She answers to Monique Selim’ questions who asks about internal contradictions of her status. How does she deal with the thorny circumstances marked by a social exclusion and repression of the category of foreigner recently enacted « inassimilable ». The rules and/or ethical charters, far from pacifying the antagonisms, have proven to be fragile masks to irrefutable political scheduling.
