Les adverbes de doute en espagnol contemporain : submorphémie et interlocution

Abstract : The purpose of this thesis is to study the "adverbs of doubt" in contemporary Spanish, an abundant paradigm whose members, coming from very disparate etymological horizons, are considered synonymous in the traditional grammatical approach. This so-called synonymy will be questioned focusing on the principles of the linguistics of the signifier, which enjoins us to consider each sign as irremediably unique and to grant absolute primacy to the signifier in any analytical approach. By subjecting the signifiers of the adverbs of doubt to a series of methodological protocols derived from enactive linguistics (Théorie de la Saillance Submorphologique, Cognématique, Théorie de la Relation Interlocutive), it will be shown that these signifiers are motivated and form a paradigm of a surprisingly coherent structure. The exploration of the various (re)motivations of signs and their numerous submorphological breakdowns is accompanied by an analysis of attested and contextualized examples.
