The Norman law is characterized by a rich arrestography and a constant dialogue between the customary text, the commentators and the litigants seeking to establish a jurisdiction, which literally means to say the law (juris dictio). We analyze these features in the ConDÉ corpus, composed of Norman customary texts from the Middle Ages to modern times. We focus on the way this jurisdiction was written by the study of polyphony, or the introduction of secondary enunciators, and their long-term diachronic evolution. We show that these customaries observe a fine hierarchization of reported speech from a typo-dispositional and linguistic point of view. This hierarchy is related to the way in which the concept of truth was established in law.

La coutume de Normandie se caractérise par une riche arrestographie et un dialogue constant entre le texte coutumier, les commentateurs et les justiciables, et ce afin d'établir une juridiction, soit à proprement parler de dire le droit (juris dictio). Nous avons ainsi observé dans le corpus ConDÉ, composé de coutumiers normands du Moyen-Âge à l'époque moderne, la façon dont cette juridiction s'écrivait par la gestion de la polyphonie, ou de l'introduction d'énonciateurs seconds, et l'évolution de ces paramètres en diachronie longue. Nous montrons que ces coutumiers observent une hiérarchisation fine du discours rapporté du point de vue typo-dispositionnel et linguistique, en lien avec la façon dont le concept de vérité s'établissait en droit.
